Music Lessons
I've been making music for as long as I can remember. I was raised by an opera singer and a church pianist. In college, I studied opera in Turkey, Jazz voice and theory at Wheaton College, and songwriting under Sirintip Phasuk in NYC. I played piano, guitar, and drums in church bands for many years, and have performed with artists in Nashville, Germany, and NYC.
I have a heart for teaching and inspiring people to continue to create, no matter what level or age. Music is a balm for the soul and connects us to our roots and communities.
Voice Lessons
I take a holistic approach to teaching voice. Your body, nervous system, and mind play a role in your singing. Together, we'll unlock your vocal capabilies and play in the sandbox of breathing exercises and vocal techniques.
Guitar Lessons
I take a goal oriented approach with teaching guitar. Do you want to play in a band? Solo? At church? We'll dive right into the basics, developing your comfort with chords, strumming, picking, tabs, and basic music theory.
Piano Lessons
Piano gives a wide range of opportunity to learn music theory, pop music, classical music, and songwriting. We'll set goals together, and you'll learn a well rounded and energizing approach to playing the piano!
Songwriting Lessons
If you're starting with nothing or with a dozen drafts of songs, I can teach you guidelines for writing based on your genre, goals, and style. Let's enhance your creativity and take it to the next level!
